City sticking with ‘Circle’

It didn’t even take a complete vote. In the end, it came down to the customer service Circle Sanitation has provided Underwood for the past five years as Monday night Underwood City Commissioners voted to
extend its contract with Circle Sanitation despite Waste Management’s lower bid.

Commissioners Dan Saxberg, Derrick Fischer, Paul Cabrera and Zac Heskin all voted in favor of sticking with Circle Sanitation, with Commission President Leon Weisenburger casting the one dissenting vote.

Weisenburger indicated he would be confirming that the city could legally go with a higher bid, but as of Monday night, Circle Sanitation won the bid, as commissioners agreed that Circle Sanitation has provided excel lent service, which means a lot.
