CM caps historic summer with sixth-place finish at Babe Ruth State
The Central McLean Babe Ruth baseball team capped a memorable 2025 summer campaign with a sixth-place finish at the North Dakota Babe Ruth State Tournament held July 25–27 in LaMoure.
In their first-ever appearance at the state level, the Cougars battled three formidable programs, opening with a thrilling win over Bottineau before falling to perennial eastern powers Thompson and Park River.
While the team didn’t walk away with a championship, they left the tournament with pride, perspective, and a clearer view of the program’s future.
Head Coach Gryphon Mulkey praised his players for their effort, determination, and belief, noting how their state run helped raise the profile of Central McLean baseball.
