Coleharbor approves water rate increase
Coleharbor residents will see an increase in their monthly water bills after the City Council approved a rate adjustment during its regular meeting Aug. 4.
Mayor Holt called the meeting to order with council members Justin Pochant, Len Lindbo, Stetson Pedersen and Tim Bosak present, along with City Auditor Del Kolke.
After approving the previous meeting minutes, council members approved the city’s bank account balances and bills before addressing utility rates.
On a motion by Stetson Pedersen, seconded by Tim Bosak, the council approved increasing the city’s base water rate by $6 per month, effective immediately. Council members said the increase is necessary to cover the added expense of an updated water meter reading program. The motion passed unanimously.
