Coleharbor mayor resigns
A re-organizational meeting was scheduled to be held this week, after the mayor of Coleharbor resigned from his position.
“The decision has not come easily, but due to the many other commitments requiring my attention, I feel I can no longer dedicate the time and energy necessary to serve our community to the best of my ability,” stated Heith Pochant in his resignation letter, which was dated March 18.
Pochant told the Central McLean News-Journal he was elected into the position June of 2018 after the previous mayor had decided not to seek re-election.
