The forecast is for mostly sunny, 75-degree weather this weekend.
Even if that forecast doesn’t pan out, Rain or Shine, It’s Fair Time in Underwood, site of the 63rd annual McLean County Fair.
Activities start Friday, a big day for 4-H, FFA and open class exhibitors presenting their exhibits for the judges and the public in their annual achievement days, all vying for the coveted Grand Champion and Reserved Champion awards.
In addition to the exhibits, the fairgrounds will be humming with activity all three days of the fair, bringing a wide variety of different entertainment to the small stage during the day and the big stage at night. (Not to mention Daryl’s Racing Pigs, who create a little stage/race track of their own Saturday.)
All three days feature the Mighty Thomas Carnival rides and games with rides that are perfect for the tykes to fake a few spins, and scream-inducing, stomach churning rides for older kids and adults.
