Foundation funding helps buy new technology

By Michael Johnson, Editor

The local Underwood School Foundation helped out once again by providing some big funds for a few extra items at the Underwood School this year. They have been doing so for about eight years. Members of the Underwood School Foundation, including Renee Fransen and Diane Schell, presented a check to secondary principal Lee Weisgarber. Weisgarber said the $4,000 check went towards an additional Smart Board, document cameras and a color laser printer. Weisgarber said the donation was greatly appreciated as a way for the school to improve technologies for students. “They have been very active with donations,” Weisgarber said of the foundation. Fransen asks Weisgarber what sort of things they could help with that would benefit the most students. He makes a list and the foundation helps to make it happen.
