With six guests, including teachers Kara Smalls, Courtney Volochenko, Heather Kramer, Michelle Pickett, and Heidi Anderson and Cory Grabinger, the full-page  February 13 Turtle Lake-Mercer School Board agenda was thoroughly covered.
The consent agenda covering routine information was quickly approved, as the information is usually reviewed by board members prior to the meeting and questions to specific details seldom arise.
The technology committee addressed the one-gigabyte service that will be operational for the school soon. That installation will make the school one of, if not the, first school in the county to have that capacity.
The effort to sell the Smartboards drew no offers, likely due to the computer needed to project the images not being included. The five available, with seven more possible later-on, will be donated to non-profits first, with donations to the public later. The motion’s vote to approve this was a unanimous “aye”.
Policy readings for ABCE, ACEA, and FDE were all approved on the second reading motion and vote.
