Grille re-opens

The Underwood Grille and Lounge had a soft re-opening a little over a week ago after staffing problems forced the closure of the restaurant/bar in November.

Opening the doors again after just over a month, Grille manager Ramona Capps is hoping the restaurant’s loyal customers will be coming back to frequent the Underwood eatery – and she’s hoping some new customers will stop in to check out the restaurant and meet the new staff members.

The restaurant is now open from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m., while the bar is open from 4 p.m. "until," says Capps.

"Until people stop showing up," she said.

If there’s nobody in the bar at 10 p.m., it will close for the day. However, if there are still people in the bar at midnight, it will stay open until 1 a.m.

The restaurant has a new staff of cooks and servers who are anxious to serve the public and learn more about the restaurant business. Capps continues as the restaurant’s manager and head chef.
