Haunted mansion under construction

The ideas were spewing from their mouths like brains from a zombie’s head.

They just kept oozing out.

"We should have a morgue table here – there’s plenty of room," was one of the comments from one of the youths who were gathered at The Rose Wednesday night.

The Rose Theatre is the anticipated home for the Northern Expressions Art Council’s second annual haunted house, set to open Oct. 16, with a possible revised presentation on Oct. 30.

That is, points out NEAC President Mark Wood, if enough help shows up to design and construct the haunted house, which this year is expected to be a haunted mansion – not just a house.

While a lot of the supplies used in last year’s haunted house will be usable again this year, he noted, last year’s event was put on in the front of The Rose – a very small area.
