‘A Starry Night’

For those who thought Underwood already had its prom – you are correct.

But that doesn’t mean there can’t be another grand march in Underwood, featuring some of the town’s even younger beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen escorted by their favorite older men and women, their parents or grandparents, or whomever they choose, actually.

For the first time, Underwood is putting on "A Starry Night," a parent and child semi-formal dance. It will be held Friday, April 24, at the Underwood City Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the grand march starting at 6 p.m., and the dance running through 9 p.m.

Admission to the event is $10 per person in advance and $12 per person at the door. Tickets are on sale at Comet Kids Childcare and at local businesses, including the Underwood Clinic, Underwood Warehouse Grocery, Sodas and Things and North Country Bank.

"And if somebody wants to contact me, I would be happy to bring tickets to them," said event co-organizer Kellie Weisenburger.

While tickets will be available at the door, Weisenburger noted it would be ideal to get tickets ahead of time so organizers have an idea how much food to prepare.
