‘Mr. D’ makes state job bid

Underwood School Superintendent Brandt Dick announced on Thursday that he is joining the race to be North Dakota’s superintendent of public instruction. Dick, commonly known as “Mr. D.” at the Underwood School and beyond, has officially announced that he is seeking the position of supt. of public instruction currently held by Kirsten
Baesler. “ I’ve actually been thinking about it for quite a while,” said Dick. “For whatever reason, it’s just always been something that seemed like my career has
prepared me to take a shot at it.” Dick is a lifelong educator, having spent 25 years in education, holding positions in nearly every leadership role in education including,
teacher, principal, activities director, superintendent, and adjunct college instructor.
