North Country merging with American Bank Center

As of Monday, April 20, Underwood’s North Country Bank will become part of the Dickinson American Bank Center.

People who bank at North Country Bank, which also has a branch in McClusky, were recently informed of the merger.

There really isn’t going to be a lot of change, says bank president Bob Larson – but what there is, will be good.

"We’re going to be able to offer a number of different products, especially on the lending side," said Larson. "I’m very excited about it."

Online services will also be expanding, he said, which will eventually include an app people can download on their phones so they can do remote deposits by taking a photo of their paycheck.

Banking customers were informed that their current savings account numbers will change to American Bank Center numbers effective April 20 and that they will be getting new American Bank Center ATM/debit cards, but they will be able to continue using the checks they already have with no problem, noted Larson.
