Robinson takes home principal of the year award

Ask Barb Robinson what she does that puts her above other elementary principals and she’ll say, "Nothing." "I don’t think I’ve done anything that shouldn’t be done," she said. Robinson was recently awarded the Region 7 Principal of the Year by the North Dakota Association of Elementary School Principals at a joint conference in Aberdeen between North Dakota and South Dakota. That’s the top elementary principal from Dickinson to the South Dakota border to just south of Bismarck and extending up to Lake Sakakawea. After 18 years working at the Underwood School she said that this is the first time she’s received an award like this and yet she doesn’t feel as though it could really happen to her. "It’s just an overwhelming feeling," she said.
