School board results in for TLM, Underwood
The primary elections determine city and school board races, along with any measures and ballot questions presented to voters.
In Central McLean County, both Turtle Lake-Mercer and Underwood school boards had seats on the ballot.
Voters also cast their votes for seven uncontested countywide seats during the June 9 election.
Turtle Lake-Mercer school
According to the unofficial results posted by the Turtle Lake-Mercer Public School District a winner prevailed for each of its open seats.
Three candidates put their hat in the ring for one three-year term on the board of education. Those candidates were Julie Wagner, Rick Britton and Brian O’Shea. Wagner came out head of Britton and O’Shea to win the seat.
Wagner, 193 votes
Britton, 185 votes
O’Shea, 155 votes
For the district’s two-year term seat, candidates Brent Ravnaas and Nicole Wardner faced off in the primary election, with Ravnaas coming out ahead.
Ravnaas, 169 votes
Wardner, 107 votes
