Shooting for eagle at Westridge Golf Course

The work of planning an Eagle Scout project can be daunting. For some it becomes a project that helps shape the way they lead in the future.

For David Schwartz, a Life Scout from Bismarck, the project scope was wide open. He knew that he wanted to help people and he wasn’t concerned about where that would be.

While David lives in Bismarck and attends St. Mary’s School, he had a connection to Underwood that he wanted to check out. His dad works at Coal Creek Station and spoke to a fellow co-worker about David’s need to find a project. The idea for a project at Westridge Golf Course soon surfaced.

David decided that he would build two shelters on the West-ridge Golf Course. These will serve as ways to find shelter from the sun or rain for those out enjoying a round of golf.
