TL commission still talking trash

TL commission still talking trash

No motions were made, and no official action was taken Monday night at Turtle Lake’s regular monthly meeting. The majority of the meeting was spent going over recent
commission items and getting updates from City Auditor Darwin Saari. No disruption in water service is expected when the city switches over from its old water source to the new water tower. Just when that will be, however, is the question. “Forty days after May 18” is the date the contractors gave the city for the anticipated finish date, but Saari and the
commissioners are doubtful that will come to fruition. Late summer, maybe even summer are a couple guesses commissioners put on the table for when locals will be getting
water from the new tower. The only difference they should notice is an improvement in water pressure. The c ommissioners revisited the issue of the city-run garbage collection
service. It’s anticipated that the city will be able to collect its own garbage as long as the current truck is in working order, but this last month the city spent a good chunk of
money on repairs.
