Underwood leaves water, sewer rates as is
The city of Underwood has opted not to change the water and sewer rates, but commissioner did make a change to how the rates will be billed.
According to meeting minutes published Nov. 6 in the Central McLean News-Journal, the city of Underwood held its monthly meeting Oct. 21 at the city hall.
During that meeting, Auditor Courtney Adams suggested leaving utility rates as is, but changing from charging water per 1,000 gallons to per gallon at the same rate.
After discussion, Vice President Derrek Fisch moved and Commissioner Paul Cabrera supported Adams’ request, which passed unanimously by the commission.
The city is planning to hold an auction the first week of December, which will last about two weeks.
The commission approved Thompsen’s 4 Winds Auction to auction the items on auctiontime.com.
