Underwood to consider new traffic ordinances

The city of Underwood will be looking at the possibility of adding new traffic ordinances for the city limits.
According to meeting minutes published in the Oct. 9 edition of the Central McLean News-Journal, Auditor Courtney Adams showed examples of neighboring town traffic ordinances during the Sept. 23 city commission meeting.
“(The) commission would like to get more examples of ordinances relating to 4-wheelers, ATV, golf carts and dirt bikes,” the meeting minutes noted.
The commission directed Adams to work with the McLean County Sheriff’s Department for help while re-writing and reviewing the new ordinance.
Also during the meeting, Commissioner Bradley Sayler made a motion to begin saying the Pledge of Allegiance prior to every commission meeting.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Paul Cabrera and unanimously passed.
