Underwood’s newest restaurant nears completion

By Michael Johnson, Editor

It was coming down to the finer details of construction last week for James Graves of J & A Carpentry and  John Wangen of Fine Line Designs. The two Minnesota carpenters have been putting in their time in Underwood in order to bring a hot plate of food back into town, as much for them as the residents. The two have been working about town on smaller scale carpentry jobs, in addition to the larger projects like the Underwood Inn, and now the newest Underwood restaurant, which was previously the Small Business Development Center Welcome Center. Graves was finishing up work on the front of the business, which includes a brick wainscoting and fiber cement siding of a more earth-tone shade. The remainder of the building is still blue, but Graves hopes to be able to get the OK to put the new siding on the entire building.
