Volunteers improve, keep Westridge on ‘course’

There’s a framed picture with the names of all the people who helped turn what was at first just an idea, into a refreshing remodel of Underwood’s Westridge Golf Clubhouse.
Anyone who has stopped in at Westridge in the past can tell you the new longer, wide-open and welcoming bar is a far cry from the stuck-in-the-corner bar that used to be in the clubhouse.
The thing is, though, says club member and volunteer extraordinaire Monty Trondson – it is the same bar.  It just looks a whole lot longer because it’s not suck in the corner practically in hiding anymore – and there’s nothing stored in front of it to obscure its view.
“It’s the original bar from the original clubhouse,” said Trondson. “I love it. We’ve gotten so many compliments, it’s unbelievable.
