Buck leads Southern McLean at Westridge
Junior Graham Buck’s seven-over 79 was good enough for fifth overall, leading Southern McLean to a second-place finish at Westridge Golf Course on May 7.
Buck recovered from a bogey, double-bogey start to run off three straight hole of par or better – highlighted by a birdie on the 518-yard par-5 fourth. His second birdie of the round came on the 150-yard par-3 en route to a 40 on the front nine. Buck put together six straight holes of clean-golf, ripping off consecutive pars on the 10th all the way through the 15th. He finished with three consecutive bogeys to turn in a 39 on the back.
