Central McLean runners gain experience at Mandan Kiwanis Invitational
The Central McLean Cougars cross country team made the trip to Mandan on Aug. 29, to take part in the annual Mandan Kiwanis Invitational, one of the state’s premier early-season meets.
With large fields and strong competition from across North Dakota, the event provided Cougar athletes an opportunity to test themselves and continue their development as the fall campaign unfolds.
In the varsity boys’ 5,000-meter race, Central McLean was represented by Levi Repnow.
Facing a field of 115 total runners, Repnow placed 80th overall with a time of 20:23.59.
The sophomore showed determination in navigating the crowded course and delivered a steady performance against a competitive group of upper-classmen from larger programs.
