Central McLean XC competes at Skyhawk Invite

The Central McLean Cougars cross country team traveled to McDowell Dam on Sept. 27, to compete in the annual Skyhawk Invitational hosted by Shiloh Christian.
The meet drew strong fields from across the state, with more than 100 runners between the boys’ and girls’ varsity divisions.
On the boys’ side, the Cougars were paced by senior Levi Repnow, who turned in a steady performance to finish 20th overall in the 64-runner varsity race.
Repnow clocked a time of 19 minutes, 46.83 seconds, keeping him within striking distance of the front pack.
Freshman Gage Ellis continued his development with a 45th-place showing, crossing in 22:00.82, while eighth grader Thad Voth rounded out the Cougar lineup in 57th at 23:44.32.
The team results on the men’s side highlighted just how competitive the race was, as Century narrowly edged Jamestown and Shiloh Christian for the top three spots.
