CMC Cougars Football Team puts in overtime work for the win

The varsity CMC Cougars football team defeated Napoleon in overtime at Underwood Friday night, bringing their season record
to 3-1. T h e t e ams t r a d e d touchdowns and conversions throughout the game. The score was tied at 22-22 at half time. The fourth quarter ended at 36-36, sending the game into overtime. The Cougars pulled together a concise OT win, with the final score landingat 44-36. CMC quarterback Cade Kjelstrup passed for an impressive 254 yards, with Andrew Eichhorst receiving for 109 yards, including a 40-
yard kickoff return and an epic 69-yard pass from Kjelstrup. Lucas Sims rushed for 96 yards, including a handful of two-point conversions. Max Corcoran gained 104 receiving yards in the game. The Cougars offense was on point, but the defense held Napoleon back at critical
points in the game.
