Size and physicality came into play in a big way this past week, as an aggressive Max team and a sizable Drake-Anamoose team turned back the Underwood Comets 72-35 and 81-31, respectively.

The Max Cossacks used their aggressive physicality to outlast the visiting Underwood Comets last Tuesday, outshooting the young Comet team by the score of 72-35.

"They’re really aggressive. They come after you pretty hard," summed up Underwood Coach Steve Cottingham, regarding the home-standing Cossacks team.

The Comets were also playing short-handed that night as freshman starter Parker Heger was sitting on the sidelines following a concussion, and sophomore Lucas Bichler was sidelined with illness. The Comets then found themselves battling injuries during the game as freshman Darin Eichhorst, who had stepped into a starting position for the game, "promptly broke off two front teeth," according to Cottingham, and freshman Zach Cottingham’s nose was bloodied.
