Comet netters bump off two more

The Comets are riding high after posting two more wins on the volleyball court this past week, knocking off Kidder County 3-1 Monday and posting a first-ever win over Flasher, also by the score of 3-1, last Tuesday.
"We’ve never beaten Flasher before," noted Comet coach Mary Hefta.
Flasher won the first game of the battle 25-16, but the Comets took the next three 25-16, 25-22 and 25-8, including a game-winning ace from senior Abby Landenberger in game three.
The Comets found themselves in another tough battle Monday night, taking the first two games 25-21 and 25-18 before falling 25-17 in game three. The Comets rallied in game four, but it took extra serves before the Comets won 28-26.
"It was very hard fought. Whoever won that one deserved to win it," said Hefta.
