Underwood senior Milah Kibbel put the punctuation mark on her week as Underwood’s Homecoming Week by scoring the last three points in the Comets’ volleyball game against Grant County Thursday night, vaulting the Comets to the 3-2 win.
Two of those final three points were aces for Kibbel, who finished the match with eight of the solo points. Bailey Gross came in off the bench in the rotation to serve up six aces of her own as the Comets bounced back from losing games three and four to take the final extra set for the win.
“When it came down to it, we played really hard, our serving was a lot better, and we worked together really well,” said Underwood Coach Jordyn Singer.
The Comets focused on defense a lot in practice, and it showed in the team’s ability to get the first pass up to the setter.
