Comets bounced by Trojans, Coyotes

Scoring just five points in an entire half of basketball isn’t going to win many games.

The Underwood Comet girls basketball players found that statement to be true Tuesday night when the home-standing Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans won a District 10 match-up by the score of 36-20. The Comet girls scored just five points the second half of the game.

MacKenzie Snyder’s 10 points paced the Comets, while TLMM’s Taylor Fylling’s 12 points was game-high.

In other action this week, Grant County knocked off the home-standing Comets by the score of 43-28, despite a 16-point scoring effort by Underwood guard McKenna Wilson.
