Comets hold off Trojans in nail-biter play-in

The Underwood Comets stayed alive in Region 5 action Thursday night, topping Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky in a no-holds-barred regional play-in battle before winning the match by the score of 3-0.
The Comets and Trojans battled through repeated long rallies, particularly in the third set, before the Comets pulled away for the 25-23 win.
“This was a great win – the girls played well together with lots of energy,” said Underwood Coach Jordyn Singer. “They hustled and never gave up."
