The Comet girls upped their hoops record to 5-2 this week after splitting a pair of games on the hard court.
Saturday night’s 47-25 pummeling over the home-standing New England girls wiped out Friday night’s 38-33 loss to Flasher on the Comets’ home court, as the Comet girls upped their shooting success by about 15 percent from one night to the other.
“We shot a little better from the field,” summed up Underwood Coach Gary Ballard. “We shot 42 percent from the field – that’s better than the 28 percent the night before.
“I feel like we were getting pretty good looks at the basket, and this time we made more of them. IT made things a lot easier for us,” Ballard added.
