There were some moments of brilliance on the volleyball court Oct. 12 and 13, enough from the Comets Monday night to thrust them to a 3-2 win over Drake, but more by Wilton-Wing Tuesday night as the Miners pulled off a 3-0 win.

The Monday/Tuesday games last week are the final games the Comets were able to play before most of the team was sidelined due to being close contacts with a COVID- 19-positive person.

“I thought we had moments during (that) game that showed we are capable of playing with any team in our region,”
commented Underwood Coach Jordyn Singer. “But unfortunately we didn't have enough of them to win in the end. There were times where we battled and looked really good: working together, being aggressive with our attack,
communicating and having the mentality that we were going to get every ball up that came our way.”
