Cougar girls take eighth at state links

The Central McLean Cougar girls golfers shaved 29 strokes off of their first-round score, finishing day two of the Class B State Golf Tournament with a 395 after starting the tournament with a team score of 424. The Cougar girls, led by senior golfers Samantha Cottingham, who finished the tournament with a two-day score of 181, and Payton Koenig, who carded a 189, captured eighth place in the team standings.
