Cougars compete at East-West Golf Meet
The Central McLean Cougars varsity girls golf team took part in the East-West Meet on Aug. 12, at Pheasant Country Golf Course in South Heart.
The two-day event featured a highly competitive field of 109 golfers from across the state, challenging athletes with a demanding layout that tested consistency and endurance.
Central McLean did not qualify for the final team standings, as only two athletes represented the Cougars, but both made the most of their opportunity to compete on one of the tougher courses of the season.
Finishing at the top of the standings were Oak Grove, Heart River and Des Lacs-Burlington–with scores of 634, 666 and 669 respectively.
