Cougars compete at Orriginals Invitational XC Meet

The Central McLean Cougars cross country team tested themselves against some of the top programs in the state Aug. 23 at the Orriginals Invitational, held at the scenic Parkhurst Recreation Area. 
With nearly 200 runners competing in the boys’ varsity field and more than 130 in the girls’ race, the meet provided a challenging but valuable experience for the Cougar athletes.
Boys Varsity 5,000 Meters
Central McLean fielded four runners in the varsity boys’ race, where the Cougars finished 35th in the team standings with 891 points. 
Despite the tough competition, each runner gained crucial race experience and continued to build confidence for the season ahead.
Leading the way for Central McLean was Levi Repnow, who clocked a time of 21 minutes, 43 seconds to place 140th out of 197 finishers. 
Repnow’s steady pacing helped him move up during the latter stages of the race and secure the team’s top spot.
