Slow and steady wins the race, or the football game, as was the case Friday night when a visiting Divide County outlasted the Central McLean Cougars by the score of 24-14.

Statistics were not available due to an Ipad malfunction, but it didn’t take stats for Cougar Coach Grant Singer to know that it was a hardfought game, regardless of the outcome.

“It was a good battle. We just came up short in the end,” said Singer. “There are little things here and there that we can work on, and learn from watching the tape, on both sides of the ball, that we can clean up so we’re ready for Friday’s game at Mohall,” said Singer. “We need to be ready to play a whole game.”
