Cougars grind out 12-6 road win over Bowman County

The Central McLean Cougars football team picked up another hard-fought victory Friday night, edging Bowman County 12-6 in a defensive battle that pushed the Cougars’ record to 6-1 on the season.
The road win marked Central McLean’s fifth Region 4 triumph, keeping them firmly in contention near the top of the standings as the regular season winds down.
Both teams leaned heavily on their defenses throughout the contest, with scoring opportunities proving scarce.
Central McLean’s defense, a consistent strength all season, held Bowman County in check for much of the game, forcing key stops and limiting big plays.
Offensively, the Cougars managed to put together enough drives to earn the narrow win, showcasing poise and resilience in a game defined by field position and physical play.
Although Head Coach comments were unavailable following the matchup, the Cougars’ performance spoke volumes about their ability to win tough, low-scoring games on the road.
