Cougars look to regroup after narrow Bowman County loss
The Central McLean Cougars will look to bounce back this week after a narrow loss to Bowman County tightened their position in the A Region 4 football standings.
Central McLean fell 16-14 at home Friday, Oct. 2, dropping to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in region play. Bowman County improved to 5-1 overall and in the region, joining Southern McLean and Dickinson Trinity atop the standings.
For Cougars head coach Grant Singer, the focus following the two-point defeat was on correcting mistakes before the next matchup.
“We just made too many mistakes all around,” Singer said. “We’ll focus on getting those things shored up this week.”
Central McLean travels to Hazen on Friday, Oct. 9, for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Bison enter the matchup with a 3-4 record overall and in Region 4, giving the Cougars another regional test as the regular season approaches its conclusion.
