Cougars volleyball stays hot with two-win week

The Central McLean Cougars volleyball team kept their winning ways alive last week, securing back-to-back victories over Garrison and Wilton-Wing to continue building momentum midway through their fall schedule.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Whitney Jangula, the Cougars are finding their rhythm, and with each contest, they look more and more like a team capable of making noise down the stretch.
The week opened on Tuesday, September 16, with a dominant three-set sweep over Garrison. Central McLean wasted no time asserting control, taking the opening set 25-8 before following with another lopsided 25-6 win in the second.
Garrison showed more fight in the third set, but the Cougars closed out the match with a convincing 25-14 finish.
The result highlighted the Cougars’ ability to dictate pace and minimize mistakes, something Coach Jangula said has been a focus during practices.
“We’ve made some key adjustments that have really improved our flow on the court,” she explained. “The girls are becoming more comfortable playing alongside each other and are showing growth both individually and as a team.”
