The Central McLean Cougars got both their ground and running games going this past Friday night in Underwood when they lambasted their opponent, Standing Rock-Selfidge by the score of 59-7 on the gridiron.

The Cougars rushed for 211 yards and passed for 101, taking a 43-0 lead into the half-time break.

"It was a good game – it was fun," commented Cougar coach Kurt Ziebarth, adding that it was a team effort.

"As a team we played really well," he said. "And on top of that, our young guys got to play a good amount of time Friday night, and they stepped in and executed well."

Senior lineman David Senski agreed, giving a collective pat on the back to the players who stepped in when the varsity had already taken a big lead.

"I was really impressed with the freshman that played," he said. The rookie varsity players allowed just one touchdown, that coming in the fourth quarter on a 25-yard run.
