Eng paces CM harriers in opener

Freshman Maggie Eng was the Cougars’ top individual finisher at Saturday’s “Orr-iginals” Cross Country Meet at the Parkhurst Rec Area near Jamestown.
Eng placed 75th out of 144 varsity runners, finishing the 5K race with a time of 23:27.
Junior McKenna Wilson placed 115th with a time of 26.08.
In the boys varsity division, junior Cole Wilson paced the Cougars with his 152nd place finish with a time of 20.25, while Bo Weisenberger placed 174th with a time of 21:25. There were 220 boys in the varsity division.
The Orr-iginal meet was run on the same course this year’s state will be run on, an opportunity which Cougar coach Brenda Schantz was looking forward to.
