The Comets ran into a hard-hitting Flasher team last Tuesday night, falling by the score of 3-1 against the potential regional tournament opponent.

Flasher won the first set 25-17, then the Comets dominated game two, winning easily by the score of 25-13.

But the Bulldogs rallied to take the final two sets 25-9 and 25-14.

Flasher’s middle hitter Secora Schmidt was unstoppable at the net, counting 22 kills for the night.

"I continue to stress how important it is that we are working hard at the net getting not only touches that slow down the other team’s hits but also getting blocks from several different front row players," commented Underwood Coach Mary Hefta.

Senior hitter Madi Holm had seven kills to pace the Comets at the net, earning praise from Hefta.
