The Cougar track and field boys team finished fourth overall last Tuesday in Fessenden, scoring 60 points on the wheels of senior runner Dylan Ruff who had two second-place finishes and a third-place finish to score 22 individual points.  Ruff placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.84, and second in the 200 with a time of 23.94, placing third in the 400 with a time of 53.54.  Teammate Josh Hanson also picked up some points on the track, placing fourth in the 3200-meter rush with a time of 11:07.94. “Dylan had an outstanding meet,” noted Cougar coach Lee Weisgarber.  He also praised Hanson for his fourth-place finish, a major improvement on his personal best.  The throwing combination of Dillon Aldinger and Taylor Deseth added 26 points to the Cougar boys’ total, as Aldinger’s discus toss of 128-0 was good enough to take first place, followed by Deseth’s second-place throw of 118-0.  Aldinger also added 8 points to the team’s total with his second-place finish in the shot, a throw of 40-6. In jumping events, Aaron Mormon brought home a second-place finish with his high jump, clearing the height of 5-6.
