Schlafmann leads Central McLean with top six finishes in all three throws

Central McLean delivered one of its most complete throwing performances of the season April 11 at the Beulah Throwers Meet, highlighted by a dominant allaround showing from junior Vivian Schlafmann and a wave of personalbest marks from the boys squad.
With only shot put, discus and javelin on the schedule, the meet rewarded consistency and technical progress — and the Cougars showed both.
Schlafmann anchors girls team with topsix finishes in all three events
Junior Vivian Schlafmann turned in one of the strongest individual performances of the entire meet, placing fifth in shot put with a seasonbest 309, 12th in discus at 755, and sixth in javelin with a seasonbest 958.
Her javelin mark was the highest finish of the day for any Central McLean athlete, and her shot put throw placed her among the top competitors from larger programs.
Schlafmann’s consistency across all three events provided the Cougars with a reliable scoring presence and highlighted her continued growth as a multievent thrower.
Boys: Levey, Wolf and Wardner combine for a PR sweep
Central McLean’s boys produced a standout day of their own, with every athlete recording at least one personal or season best.
Freshman Reed Levey posted PRs in all three events, finishing 14th in shot put (342), 20th in discus (802), and 16th in javelin (662). His marks continue a rapid earlyseason progression.
