Skyhawks school Cougars

The first few minutes of Friday’s 9-man football was a good, competitive contest.
The rest of it, however, was for the birds.
The Shiloh Christian Skyhawks, that is, as the home-standing Skyhawks turned an 8-8 early-in-the-game tie into a 30-8 lead at the end of the first stanza of what would end up being a 52-8 rout of the Central McLean Cougars.
The Skyhawks used the rush and the air to make some big plays on their way to the win, scoring three touchdowns in five plays.
“They’re an excellent team,” commented Cougar Co-Coach Kevin Dockter. “We’re playing a lot of young kids, and I think it was an education for them.”
The Skyhawks struck first in the first quarter when Canaan Fagerland ran into the end zone from six yards out.
