Normally running in the halls is frowned upon at the Underwood School, but for this week, at least, it will be encouraged. As members of the track team will be running the halls, and maybe even the steps as they try to get their track workouts in.

Sunday and Monday’s fresh dump of snow put the kibosh on any outdoor workouts for the local high school sports teams. So, the coaches are looking at doing some improvising to get quality workouts in.

"We’ll maybe try to bring some hurdles and mats into the school this week sometime, so we can maybe run in the hallway a little bit," said Central McLean Coach Lee Weisgarber.

Looking for a silver lining to the recent snowfall and cold weather, Weisgarber and girls golf coach, Toni Cottingham, agreed that now is the time to work on some of the little things their respective teams can work on.
