The term “pacing the team” doesn’t necessarily mean on the track in track and field competition. That’s evident with the Cougars this track and field season as senior thrower Marshall LeRoy paced the Cougars in points-scoring with his tosses at the Cougar Invitational this past Thursday.
LeRoy placed second in the discus with his hurl of 122-11 and eighth in the shot put with a toss of 37-0.
The Cougars picked up more points in field events as Nathan Sis placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 37-1, while Nevada Sorensen placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 120-0 and Preston Christenson placed seventh in with a throw of 110-0.
Sorensen, a senior, scored in two more events, finishing fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 37-4, also scoring in the 200-meter open with his seventh-place time of :24.84.
