Trojans consolation champs

The Trojans were the fifth-place winners at the Mandan Holiday tournament at Mandan High School.
Seth Laframboise and Trapper Jacobs were both chosen for the All-Tournament team.
Other Members of the team are Bailey Burcham and Max Henry, Bottineau; Jared Mattis and Isaiah Klundt, Hettinger-Scranton; Hunter Fredrick-Flasher; Nickolas Backman, Wilton/Wing; Jonas Mitzel and Bartholomew Ogbu, Bismarck Shiloh Christian.
The Trojans were up against the Bulldogs from Flasher in the quarterfinal game of the tournament. They got off to good start, and took a 9-6 lead after a Trapper Jacobs' steal and bucket.
Jacobs scored buckets at the 2:16 and 1:46 marks to put the Trojans in front 16-11. Then buckets from Garrett Hatzenbuhler and Hunter Fredrick cut the Trojans’ lead to 16-14.
A deuce and a free throw from Seth Laframboise at the 0:50 mark gave the Trojans a 19-15 lead but back-to-back buckets from the Bulldogs tied the game at 19 at the end of one.
