Underwood netters fight to stay ablaze

The Underwood Comet volleyball team took on Grant County, Wilton and Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky and struck out after three failed attempts to reach a win. Starting out in the first period against Grant County the Comets played hard, but Grant County proved to be too tough for the girls. "Grant County has some big middle hitters and we were a little off on our net play," Coach Mary Hefta said. They lost the first period with a score of 17-25 in Grant County’s favor. The next two periods were much the same with Grant County keeping control of the offense. They won the next two games 15-25.
