Washburn Post 12 holds off Titans 2-0 at home
Washburn Post 12 edged out a narrow 2-0 win over the visiting Garrison Titans on June 25 in a game defined by dominant pitching and stingy defense on both sides.
In a contest that featured only five combined hits and 18 total strikeouts, early scoring by Washburn held up against a strong outing by Garrison starter Matt Jochim.
Post 12 wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, pushing across a run in the bottom of the first inning.
Leadoff hitter Hunter Wolff worked a walk and eventually came around to score, setting the tone for what would be a low-scoring, tightly played game.
