Local editor receives Legion honor
Allan Tinker, former editor of the McLean County Journal, now part of the Central McLean News Journal, and current editor of the McClusky Gazette received the North Dakota American Legion Press award at the North Dakota 2019 American Legion Family Winter Conference in Minot, on January 25.

McClusky FFA attended the first Winter CDE contest of the year in Rugby and Towner.
Full house for appreciation supper
The annual McClusky Sportsman’s Club show of appreciation for landowners allowing hunting on private property was held at the McClusky Community Center at city hall on January 13. A free supper was served to everyone who attended: young and old, hunter and landowner.
McClusky Park Board receives three donations
It was a night to warm the cockles of park board members’ hearts. Three $20,000 donations were received from the J. Arthur and Lillian Froehlich Trust, one apiece for each division of service: swimming pool, city park, and McClusky Cemetery.
Benefit totals $18,000 more still possible
It was rotating available places to park followed by NO place to park later in the afternoon last Saturday by the McClusky High School gym.
McClusky auditor completes certification
Wayne Houston, auditor for the city of McClusky, completed the Auditor’s Certification Program with the North Dakota League of Cities.
Cemetery groundskeeper: best job she ever had
Tammy Nordquist put her life skills and enthusiasm for doing a job well together when she took the job as groundskeeper for the McClusky Cemetery. Here, she said, she had found the “Best job I ever had.”
